Rather than a pure focus on symptoms, nutritional therapy puts the individual at the centre of a scientific approach to health improvement – each person is unique and derives significant benefit from a dedicated and personally-tailored programme
Sarah Toomey (BSc. Dip NT) – Nutritional Therapist
What is ‘Nutritional Therapy’
Nutritional Therapy involves the use of nutritional sciences and personalised care in the promotion of health, well-being and peak performance. Focus is on restoring any nutritional and biochemical imbalances in the body that are the cause of ill health.
Practitioners use a range of techniques to assess and identify nutritional imbalances and lifestyle factors which may be causing issues, or hindering the body’s innate ability to look after itself. Using an approach completely personalised to you, they will advise on dietary and lifestyle adjustments to effect change to help you.
How can nutritional therapy help me?
We are what we eat, and when we eat a well balanced diet that is compatible with our genetic make-up, then all should be well. However, when we are deficient in certain dietary needs, problems can occur. Some of the more common conditions we see include Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), eczema, anxiety, asthma, issues related to fertility, menopause and digestive issues to name but a few.
