We were invited to volunteer our services at the Rowcroft SleepWalk 2014 fundraising event in Torquay.
Naturally, we were delighted to support such a worthy cause and sent a crack team consisting of 2 chiropractors, 2 massage therapists and a sports therapist to Rowcroft Sleepwalk 2014. All money raised will stay locally, and be primarily used to help some of the neediest people in Torbay at a time when they need help the most.
The event was attended by over 2,000 ladies who had the choice of completing a 5 or 10 mile walk around Torquay, to Paignton and back again to the finish at the English Riviera Centre.
The Rowcroft team and their volunteer helpers did a spectacular job of organising the event and laid on food, music and entertainment for the participants.
Thanks to the efforts of all concerned, the evening raised over £145,000!
Our aim was to provide massage therapy to soothe the soles (and other bits) of all the kind souls who completed the walk. We massaged plenty of aching feet and muscles, and met some lovely people over the course of the night.
As can be seen from the picture above we also found time for a little fun too! The nice man from FunBoothDevon used us to test his equipment before things got busy. You can see more pictures from the event on their Facebook page here
