Amanda’s Training and Qualifications
Eminently qualified, and very experienced, Amanda started her training in bodywork in 1997. She first qualified as a Massage Therapist and Holistic Aromatherapist at The Tisserand Institute in 1999.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage
Continuing her studies at the Földi Clinic in Germany in 2008, Amanda qualified in the practice of Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) and Multi-Layer Compression Bandaging, as a Certified Lymphoedema Therapist. This high level training enabled her to work within a team of specialists in the Lymphoedema Clinic at St. Georges Hospital, London. Here she worked for a number of years treating patients with advanced stages of both primary and secondary lymphoedema and lipoedema.
Amanda is qualified in the Coban2 bandaging system, and is able to measure for hosiery and order compression garments.
In 2011 Amanda qualified with the European College of Bowen Studies (ECBS). She continues her study and training to enhance her skills as a Bowen Technique Practitioner.
Amanda is also trained in MSTR (McLouglin Scar Tissue Release). A fantastic, gentle technique which releases scars and scar tissue, helping to improve their appearance no matter how old the scar tissue is.
